REVEALED: SECRET GOVERNMENT JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR THIEVES!

This is for real. If you are a thief, you might just be in good hands for fat government pay checks soon. The hint has been dropped in a statement from a British Defence secretary recently. The easiest way to catch thieves is to use thieves, isn't it? That's the method governments may be considering soon and that's real good news for the bad guys and bad news for the good guys.

After attending a cabinet meeting with the British prime Minister at 10 Downing Street, the British Defence Secretary Philip Hammond made a public statement in which he betrayed a dirty move, a kind of 'necessary evil' the British Government is planning. But wait, there is sense in thinking that Hammond's unguarded statement has not only sold the British Government out, but has also exposed all governments everywhere including the one at Abuja. Now, here's the irony: this dirty approach is for the good of all of us.

Philip Hammond tells of a plan by the British Cyber Defence to launch cyber attacks against other countries. "Simply building cyber defences is not enough" he announced. "As in other domains of warfare, we also have to deter. Britain will build a dedicated capability to counterattack in cyberspace and if necessary to strike in cyber space".

Asked about the kind of people to use in the attacks, Hammond says he does not 'rule out' the possibility of recruiting professional hackers to do the job.

Of course, Britain is reacting against cyber attacks it has received from the governments of other countries (perhaps, China and Russia mostly). If other governments have already attacked Britain, then it seems very obvious that many criminals have already been smiling to their banks legitimately at government's expense. Really, every government has got its dirty jobs to be done, and they must be done by someone - the dirty person.

This is where the world is now. A new type of arms race is on, and the trend is that all governments will follow suit or risk annihilation.

Man Survives Hanging, Found Alive in The Mortuary the Following Day - May Be Re-hanged

In a piece of news reported in Arabic, an IRAN-based information service, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday, reported about a convicted Iranian drug trafficker who survived an attempt at being hanged by the Iranian authorities. The 37-year old man identified only as Alireza, M. from his prison tag is now in coma, says another report from IRNA on Thursday.

After hanging for 12 minutes from a noose suspended from a crane at a prison in northeastern Iran, the medics certified Alireza dead and his body deposited in a mortuary only to be discovered the following day to still be breathing by mortuary attendants.

This event has ignited a debate among Islamic jurists. While one side of the divide is arguing for Alireza to be hanged again, others are saying he has served his punishment and should not be re-hanged. What's your view on this?

This is not the first time ever that someone survived a hanging attempt. Before now, an Englishman named Joseph Samuel once survived 3 hanging attempts in quick succession. On 26 September 1803, Joseph Samuel convicted of robbery in 1795 and sentenced to death by hanging in 1801 and another criminal, convicted of another crime and not a member of the same gang, were driven in a cart to a site where hundreds of people had gathered to watch the execution. Nooses were fastened securely around their necks from the gallows and after they were allowed to pray with a priest, the cart was driven away. This was the common method of hanging of the day, and caused death by slow strangulation. Not until the latter half of the 19th century did the British employ the drop method, which breaks the neck.
The ropes used were made of five cords of hemp, which enabled one to hold 450 kg for up to five minutes without breaking - more than sufficient for human executions. The other criminal ultimately died by strangulation, but Samuel's rope snapped and he dropped to his feet, sprained an ankle and collapsed. The executioner hastily readied another rope, also five-hemp, and placed it around Samuel's neck, forced him onto the same cart, and drove the cart away again. The other criminal was still kicking weakly at this point.
When the cart drove out from under him, Samuel fell again, and the noose slipped off his neck, whereupon his boots touched the ground. The executioner was sure to have fastened the noose securely around his neck, and as he stood Samuel up to try again, the crowd had become boisterous, calling for Samuel to be freed. The executioner very quickly readied another five-hemp rope, ordered the cart driven back, forced Samuel onto it, fastened the noose around his neck, secured it very carefully and tightly, and then ordered the cart driven away. The rope snapped, and Samuel dropped to the ground and stumbled over, trying to avoid landing on his sprained ankle.
Now the crowd stood around in an uproar, and another policeman, watching on horseback, ordered the execution delayed momentarily, while he rode away to find the governor. The governor was summoned to the scene and upon inspection of the ropes, which showed no evidence of having been cut, and the other criminal, who was successfully executed with an identical rope, the governor and the entire crowd agreed that it was a sign from God that Joseph Samuel had not committed any crime deserving of execution and his sentence was commuted to life imprisonment instead. A doctor tended to his sprained ankle.

In a kind of historical resonance, another Englishman named John Henry George Lee (a.k.a John 'Babbacombe' Lee or 'The Man They Couldn't Hang') on 23 February 1885, survived three hanging attempts. the trapdoor of the scaffold failed to open despite being carefully tested by the executioner, beforehand. As a result, Home Secretary Sir William Harcourt commuted the sentence to life imprisonment. Lee continued to petition successive Home Secretaries and was finally released in 1907. After his release, Lee seems to have exploited his notoriety, supporting himself through lecturing on his life, even becoming the subject of a silent film. (History culled from: Wikipedia)

Gun Men Quote the Bible to Support Themselves!

How many of us here still remember the gory event that took place in the US State of Connecticut on Friday 14th December 2012? A 20-year old gunman, Adam Lanza, had gone into Sandy Hook Elementary School located in Newtown Connecticut and had shot 28 people including 20 children aged between 5 and 10. Lanza himself was among the 28 dead for he shot himself too. You can read more on this on Reuters.

That event ignited a US-wide and worldwide debate about the rightness of gun rights. It seemed that in this debate, the National Rifle Association - an American pressure group whose membership boasts some of the most influential Americans and which has its strongest base in the US State of Texas - was pitched against the rest of mankind. The US President, Barack Obama wept openly as he broke the news officially saying 'our hearts are broken today'. Then, he proceeded to send a bill to the US Congress asking for a review of gun rights across US states.

That debate has taken a new turn as a group of gun rights activists, all carrying fire arms openly, gathered in San Antonio Texas on Saturday, 19th October 2013 - less than a year since the Connecticut massacre - to lay a claim on their right to carry guns, and not just to carry guns, but to carry long guns openly. Ironically, this is already allowed in Texas. But the demonstration was to forestall a move which they suspected the Texas State Police was about to make: to arrest those carrying fire-arms openly.

It appears guns are sacred objects for this group of between 300 and 400 people. First, they gathered in the Alamo, a town that could qualify as the Mecca of Texas. It is the town that represents the sacrifice Texans made to gain their Independence from Mexico in 1836. Now, a chapel stands their as a monument to commemorate the 200 Texan soldiers that died there on February 23, 1836 after 13 days of valiantly resisting thousands of Mexican forces. Although those soldiers died, the Texans eventually got their independence from Mexico that year.

This pro-gun protest of Saturday was held outside that chapel of commemoration, breaking a long-standing tradition of not allowing such events there. What's more? Those gun-wielding blokes quoted the Holy Bible in support of their demand to be allowed to carry long guns openly. One of the scriptures they quoted was 1 Corinthians 7:23-24 which says 'You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men. So, brethren, in whatever state each was called, there let him remain with God'. Another Bible passage they quoted was Luke 22:36 which says, "But he said to them 'now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword, sell his mantle and buy one'"

Gun rights advocates gather at the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas on Oct. 19, 2013 to demonstrate in support of a Texas law that permits the open carry of long arms, such as rifles and shotguns. Kim Kardashians Engagement Ring Secretly Sold by Her Ex-husband

Fame has its pain. The things you could have done and no one cares, now matters to the high heavens. What's more? Even what would have been a secret soon steals into public consumption. Yes, that's vintage Kim. The famous TV Reality diva's on the news again without any effort or desire on her part to be.

First of all, we can all remember August 2011 when Kim Kardashian got married to the basketball star, Kris Humpheries. Again, let us remember that only 72 days after that, that marriage was no more.
Kris Humphries put the ring up for auction months after his divorce with Kim Kardashian was finalized.

Countdown to the wedding that easily became a TV special: Humpheries had presented a $2 million-worth diamond ring to Kim at their engagement. Oh, and he did that on bended knees with 'would you marry me?' romantically rolling off his athletic lips. That same ring has been auctioned by Humpheries through Christie's - a well known auctions and private sales company - at $749,000 a few hours ago in New York. Although Humpheries wanted it to be secret, and although Christie's respected this wish by only saying 'a gentleman' was behind the sale, people were still able to discover the 'gentleman'.

The ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz features 'a gigantic 16.2-karat emerald cut center stone flanked by 1.8-karat trapezoid side diamonds' according to a New York Daily News report.
Kim Kardashian’s ring was valued by Christie's at between $300,000 and $500,000.

Although the $2 million ring went for $749,000, Kris Humpheries actually made good profit out of the sale. According to Christie's, the ring is valued at between $300,000 and $500,000. Even Humpheries' lawyer Lee Hutton confirms it. 'Kris is not losing money on the ring' Hutton says with a laugh.

Revealed! 5 Simple Things All Super Successful People Do Before 8 am Daily

Rise and shine! Morning time just became your new best friend. Love it or hate it, utilizing the morning hours before work may be the key to a successful and healthy lifestyle. That’s right, early rising is a common trait found in many CEOs, government officials, and other influential people. Margaret Thatcher was up every day at 5 a.m.; Frank Lloyd Wright at 4 am and Robert Iger, the CEO of Disney wakes at 4:30am just to name a few. I know what you’re thinking - you do your best work at night. Not so fast. According to Inc. Magazine, morning people have been found to be more proactive and more productive. In addition, the health benefits for those with a life before work go on and on. Let’s explore 5 of the things successful people do before 8 am.

1. Exercise. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. Most people that work out daily, work out in the morning. Whether it’s a morning yoga session or a trip to the gym, exercising before work gives you a boost of energy for the day and that deserved sense of accomplishment. Anyone can tackle a pile of paperwork after 200 ab reps! Morning workouts also eliminate the possibility of flaking out on your cardio after a long day at work. Even if you aren’t bright eyed and bushy tailed at the thought of a 5 am jog, try waking up 15 minutes early for a quick bedside set of pushups or stretching. It’ll help wake up your body, and prep you for your day.

2. Map Out Your Day. Maximize your potential by mapping out your schedule for the day, as well as your goals and to dos. The morning is a good time for this as it is often one of the only quiet times a person gets throughout the day. The early hours foster easier reflection that helps when prioritizing your activities. They also allow for uninterrupted problem solving when trying to fit everything into your timetable. While scheduling, don’t forget about your mental health. Plan a 10 minute break after that stressful meeting for a quick walk around the block or a moment of meditation at your desk. Trying to eat healthy? Schedule a small window in the evening to pack a few nutritious snacks to bring to work the next day.

3. Eat a Healthy Breakfast. We all know that rush out the door with a cup of coffee and an empty stomach feeling. You sit down at your desk, and you’re already wondering how early that taco truck sets up camp outside your office. No good. Take that extra time in the morning to fuel your body for the tasks ahead of it. It will help keep you mind on what’s at hand and not your growling stomach. Not only is breakfast good for your physical health, it is also a good time to connect socially. Even five minutes of talking with your kids or spouse while eating a quick bowl of oatmeal can boost your spirits before heading out the door.

4. Visualization. These days we talk about our physical health ad nauseam, but sometimes our mental health gets overlooked. The morning is the perfect time to spend some quiet time inside your mind meditating or visualizing. Take a moment to visualize your day ahead of you, focusing on the successes you will have. Even just a minute of visualization and positive thinking can help improve your mood and outlook on your work load for the day.

5. Make Your Day Top Heavy. We all have that one item on our to do list that we dread. It looms over you all day (or week) until you finally suck it up and do it after much procrastination. Here’s an easy tip to save yourself the stress - do that least desirable task on your list first. Instead of anticipating the unpleasantness of it from first coffee through your lunch break, get it out of the way. The morning is the time when you are (generally) more well rested and your energy level is up. Therefore, you are more well equipped to handle more difficult projects. And look at it this way, your day will get progressively easier, not the other way around. By the time your work day is ending, you’re winding down with easier to dos and heading into your free time more relaxed. Success!

King Pele Sued by Own Grand Children

The Diario de Sao Paulo - a Brazil based news paper - has reported that the 72-year old greatest footballer of all time, Edson Arantes do Nascimento (a.k.a the King Pele) is having a family problem, an unusual type indeed. The King Pele's two teenage grand children, aged 13 and 15, are suing him for child support. They are the children of Pele's daughter Sandra Regina who died in 2006.

The two teenagers are demanding a support payment of $6,000 each, to cover health insurance and education as well as compensation of an unspecified amount. We expect the final ruling of this case some time in November. Meanwhile, court has already ordered the septuagenarian to pay each of the children a sum of $760 each.

There are so many things to say about this case. For example, isn't it ironical how someone would achieve a resounding world famous career success and still have wars to face at home? What sort of relationship must have existed between the old man and his daughter - the mother of the litigant kids? Isn't it worrisome that Pele at 70, instead of relaxing, reading news papers and lazing about in a serene garden, is instead being dragged around courts and news pages?

Victory on the pitch. Is Pele also victorious at home?

It was the British philosopher, John Stuart Mill who once said, 'it is a crime punishable by law to bring a child into the world without training it'. In Pele's own case, it seems the punishment has already started. What's your view on this?

Vatican Misspels the Name of Jesus on Pope Francis Medal

The Catholic officials in the Vatican have made a historic mistake when the name 'Jesus' was misspelled as 'Lesus' on a medal meant to be used as a souvenir to commemorate the beginning of the papacy of the first ever Pope from the Jesuit Order and the first ever to answer the name, Francis in the 2000-year history of the 1.2 billion strong church.

Over 6,000 units of the medal produced by the Italian State Mint and meant for sale throughout the world have been recalled after only four had been sold, according to Catholic News Service (CNS) and Vatican Information Service reports.

The medal bears the image of the new Catholic pontiff Pope Francis I on one side and an inscription which is said to have inspired the new pope to choose a vocation to the catholic priesthood. The inscription which should have read  "Vidit ergo Iesus publicanum et quia miserando antque eligendo vidit, ait illi sequere me." (Translation: "Jesus, therefore, saw the publican, and because he saw by having mercy and by choosing, He said to him, 'Follow me'") instead read "Vidit ergo Lesus publicanum et quia miserando antque eligendo vidit, ait illi sequere me." (Translation: "Lesus, therefore, saw the publican, and because he saw by having mercy and by choosing, He said to him, 'Follow me'").

On the funny side, CBS News reports about an observer who said 'I blame the Lesuits' concerning the happening obviously alluding to the event and the fact that Pope Francis I is a Jesuit.

Now, what happens? Will all the medals - 200 in gold, 3,000 in silver and 3,000 in bronze - become a waste? What do you think.
